Managing boards
Where to find your boards and how to keep them organized.

You can access your boards by choosing Boards in the selector of the Side panel, under Stored boards. If it is hidden, open it with Show side panel in the Secondary panel. The list shows every board saved in this browser, and the one you are editing is highlighted. A warning icon reminds you that boards are stored only in your browser, so download the ones you want to keep safe.
Creating a board
Adds an empty board to the list.
- Operation: choose New at the bottom of the panel.
- Result: a new, empty board with a default name opens right away, at the top of the list.
Opening a board

Switches to another stored board.
- Operation: choose the board in the list to open it in this tab, or choose Open in new tab in its options menu.
- Result: the board opens where you chose.
- Tip: the board marked (Default), or (D) when the panel is narrow, is the one Irakasi opens when you visit without choosing a board.
Naming a board
Gives the current board a name.
- Operation:
- Select the board's name in the list, or its title in the Board header.
- Type the name, up to 40 characters, and leave the field.
- Needs: the board must be open.
- Tip: to hide the title on the board but keep the name in the list, turn off Board title in the UI settings.
Reordering boards
Changes the order of the list.
- Operation: drag a board up or down by the handle on its left.
- Result: the new order is kept after you reload.
Uploading a board
Uploads a board file from your device to your browser, as a new board.
- Operation: choose Upload at the bottom of the panel and pick an
.irakasifile saved with Download board. - Result: the file joins the list as a new board. See Imports.
Inserting content into a board
Adds the contents of a board file, or of another board, to the current one.
- Operation: choose Insert at the bottom of the panel and pick an
.irakasifile, or choose Insert in the options menu of another stored board. - Result: the shapes of that file or board, with their animations, are added to the current board, keeping what was already there. The animation lands at the playhead. See Imports.
Downloading a board
Saves the board as a file on your device.
- Operation: choose Download in the board's options menu.
- Result: the board is saved to your device as an
.irakasifile. See Exports.
Clearing a board
Empties the board while keeping the board itself.
- Operation: choose Clear board in the App menu.
- Result: the shapes and animations of the current board are removed. The board and its name stay. Its stored media files stay until the next time you open the board, so undoing the clear brings the shapes back with their pictures, videos, and sounds.
- Tip: download a copy first if you might want the content back.
Deleting a board
Removes a board and everything in it from this browser.
- Operation: choose Delete in the board's options menu and confirm.
- Needs: the board must not be the default one.
- Result: the board is gone for good, and if it was open, the default board opens. Download a copy first if you might want it back. See Local boards.
