Creation overview

What Creation mode is for, and what this section covers.

A plant illustration built from styled paths and geometric shapes

Creation mode is where you build a board's content. This section covers what you can do with shapes once they are on the board, and the tools that edit their image, video, and audio files. Each kind of shape has its own page under Shapes.

Commands in this section share one layout:

  • Operation: how to run it.
  • Needs: what it requires, shown only when it requires something.
  • Result: what you get.

Working in Creation mode

Creation mode with a selected path and its position, size, and fill controls

Creation mode is the default mode:

  • The Tools panel creates shapes.
  • The Actions panel shows the commands for the selected shapes.
  • The Attributes panel shows their attributes.
  • The Side panel holds the editor's lists, such as boards, icons, cameras, and named selections.
  • The Timeline panel stays available. Selecting a block shows its indicator on the board while the selected shape stays editable.

Animation mode is for animating shapes over time, and Player mode shows the board the way viewers will see it. Modes explains how to switch.

Working with shapes

These pages cover what works on every shape, or on one kind of shape such as vector shapes or cameras.
