Guided tours overview

Interactive tours that teach the editor step by step, inside the editor itself.

Guided tours teach Irakasi by doing. Each tour opens the editor with a prepared board and walks you through a short task one step at a time:

  • Practice inside the real editor: each tour opens Irakasi with a prepared board and highlights the exact tool, panel, or shape to use at each step.
  • Move at your own pace: step forward or back through the instructions, repeat a tour whenever you like, or close it to return to the documentation.
  • Keep your own boards untouched: everything you do in a tour happens on a temporary practice board, leaving the boards saved in your browser unchanged.
Note

The first guided tours are being prepared and will appear here as they are ready.

How a guided tour works

When you launch a tour, it opens in the Irakasi editor with a guide card on screen:

  • Step-by-step prompts: the guide card shows your progress, explains the current action, and highlights the panel or button to use, with Back and Next controls to move between steps.
  • Temporary practice board: the tour's board is not saved to your local boards. If you reload the page or leave the tour, the practice board is discarded.
  • After completing or closing a tour: you can repeat the tour from the start, return to the documentation, or open Irakasi to work on your own boards.

When to use guided tours

Choose the section of the documentation that matches what you need right now:

  • First steps and hands-on practice: take a guided tour when you are opening Irakasi for the first time or trying a workflow you have not used yet.
  • Looking up a tool or setting: see the Reference when you want to check what a specific control, shape, or animation block does.
  • Complete examples and concepts: see Project walkthroughs to follow a full project from start to finish, or How Irakasi works to understand the ideas behind the editor.
